Item 4) of Article 5, Normative Annex 3 Rules for Market Sampling Test says the following in essence. “The member shall bear the expense of the retests and additional tests performed at the request of the Member.” Now my question is, in what situation the member will ask for retest and additional test?

In the case the result of the market sampling test was “Failed – tentative” the member has alternatives to do next if the member refuses to accept “Failed.” One is to request VCCI for retesting as prescribed in 2 of Article 11 of Normative Annex 3, Rules for Market Sampling Test, and the other is additional testing prescribed in 2) of item 3 in the same Annex. For the both cases the member shall bear expenses for the extra testing.

When my product is sampled for testing is there any room for me to select testing laboratory and schedule?

Details of testing execution are determined in the committee based on “Agreement between the owner of the sampled equipment and VCCI.” So if you note your specific requests in the letter of agreement we will try to satisfy them as much as possible.

Is it possible for the owner of the sampled ITE to witness the setting of the sample and the execution of testing in the laboratory?

Basically the witness of the test scene by the sample owner is not allowed although the owner may be asked to help the installation, setting and startup the sample if they are difficult.

In case retesting was allowed in response to member’s objection to judgement “fail – tentative,” how long will the member have to wait before the commencement of actual retesting?

Date adjustment is necessary with the testing lab. It sometimes takes about 1 month.
