As one of the exempted cases to Article 3 of RULES FOR VOLUNTARY CONTROL MEASURES the following case is referenced. Namely “Testing and measuring instruments designed to be used for industrial, scientific, and medical purposes where the data processing function is a secondary purpose (i.e., ISM equipment).
How about the printer in the following figure? Is this printer exempted?The printer is exempted if it is dedicated to medical use. It is subject to VCCI scheme if it is of general purpose usage.
We manufacture AC power supply units to be built in ITE and sell them in general market. Is this commodity subject to VCCI scheme? Do we have to display the VCCI mark on the unit?
AC power supply unit itself is not subject to VCCI scheme. If you want to display the VCCI mark on the unit itself, you need to prepare a typical configuration with the power unit built in and do measurement of disturbance from the entire configuration.
I have a system operated by battery. Do I need to measure conducted disturbance at mains port?
No, you do not need to do the measurement.
This is about a battery powered ITE designed to be used in the car. However, it is operable anywhere outside the car if AC adapter is used. Is this ITE subject to VCCI scheme?
Exclusive Car-mounted equipment is out of VCCI scope, but ITE usable in home and outdoor by using batteries and AC adapter is subject to VCCI scheme. (Refer to Article 4, RULES FOR VOLUNTARY CONTROL MEASURES)
Is PLC (power line communication) equipment subject to scheme? If YES, how measurement should be conducted?
Communication function part of PLC (PLT) is regulated by the Radio Law. Therefore, they including LAN part are out of the VCCI scope. (Refer to Article 3, RULES FOR VOLUNTARY CONTROL MEASURES)
